Having trained as a chartered accountant in Cambridge and Peterborough, Roger came to Felixstowe in the mid-70s when the dock was expanding rapidly. He started Beatons in 1981 and the business expanded rapidly alongside the Port and town over the following decades. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW and a licenced Statutory Auditor.

Nick joined Beatons in 1985 and has a wealth of experience in advising small and medium sized business, audits and corporate finance services, including business sales and acquisitions, and share valuations. He is also a shareholder in the business.

Outside of the office, Nick enjoys long walks with his wife Rosie and their dog along the Suffolk coast. He is also a season ticket holder for Ipswich Town and follows England abroad as a member of the England Supporters Club.

Sarah joined Beatons in 1989 when a trainee position became available. The firm put her on a training scheme to achieve her accountancy qualifications and in 1995, she achieved her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is now a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

To wind down out of the office, Sarah spends time with her husband and son. She is also a keen golfer and plays lawn bowls.

Lyn joined Beatons in 2012 and specialises in audits for large companies as well as small companies and clubs. Lyn is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, running, cooking and reading. Lyn also supports her three very sporty children with their activities.

James started at Beatons in 2017 and has been studying for his AAT qualifications. As a trainee, he assists with audits, bookkeeping and work surrounding client corporation tax. His apprenticeship works hand in hand with a constant education of the most up-to-date accounting practices and theories.

When not at work, James is a keen footballer and enjoys spending time with his family.

Having taken a gap year and travelled to America, Steph joined Beatons Group in 1990 and began her accountancy training. She qualified as a certified accountant and later undertook a conversion course to also qualify as a chartered accountant. She is now a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow Chartered Accountant as well as a shareholder in the business.

Outside of work, Steph is a season ticket holder for Chelsea and enjoys going to both home and away matches and travelling for European competition games. She also enjoys spending time with her family and two godchildren.

Having studied for a degree in maths and statistics at the University of Surrey, John joined Beatons in 1986. He became a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 1990.  He specialises in the taxation side of the business as well as being a licenced Statutory Auditor.

Away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is also a hockey umpire and helps out with the administration of the Suffolk Indoor League.

Jane has worked within the bookkeeping, audit and accounts department since 2005. She achieved her AAT course qualification in 2008, followed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification in 2011. Having been qualified as a certified accountant for five years, she is now a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Jane is a keen gamer and enjoys travelling with her partner or sister to faraway destinations including Australia as well as the many gems in the UK.

Hannah joined Beatons after being offered a trainee position in 2011. The company put her through a training scheme to achieve her accountancy qualifications. She obtained her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification in 2017.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband and young children and catching up with family and friends.
